Senior Business Analyst, Enterprise - Job Role & Responsibilities

THIS ROLE IS AVAILABLE IN THESE THREE LOCATIONS:
Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 | San Jose, CA 95134 | Rocklin, CA 95765 (HYBRID)

The Senior Business Analyst performs business analysis activities that are focused on measuring and improving quality, cost effectiveness, efficiency, member and customer satisfaction and other desired business outcomes and strategic business decisions. The Senior Business Analyst is able to collaborate across many business functions and quickly learn new processes, demonstrates an advanced Business Analysis skillset, and is team lead and mentor to the other Business Analysts.

Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:

Job Duties

  • Proactively identify system, product, process and procedural improvements and their cross-functional, interdepartmental and/or Enterprise impacts using LEAN Six Sigma methodology
  • Quantify and assess the scope of multiple business issues and enterprise projects, simultaneously, through stakeholder interviews, workshops, data analysis, process flows, SIPOCS, Gap/Root Cause Analysis diagrams, use cases, user stories, business requirements documentation and other methods
  • Lead the discovery phase of interdepartmental initiatives by interviewing stakeholders and translating business needs into requirements documentation to inform technical solution design
  • Develop and communicate actionable insights and recommendations to business partners and leadership to mitigate risks, improve business performance, leverage automation, and resolve problems end-to-end
  • Translate business needs into requirements documentation partnering with business and IT teams to facilitate implementation of new products, services, and automation workflows.
  • Mentor and train other Business Analysts within the team
  • Create team training resources (job aids, procedures, etc.)
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements internal to the team and help develop and implement those improvements
Senior Business Analyst, Enterprise - Job requirements

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a business analyst position or business process experience within the financial services industry
  • Advanced knowledge of process improvement framework and tools is preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines
  • Ability to create a wide and varied range of business analysis deliverables
  • Strong business communication skills; able to write/speak clearly and professionally for a variety of audiences including senior leadership, technical teams, and member support teams
  • Robust analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to critically evaluate user requirements to establish underlying true needs
  • Proven ability to professionally handle confidential/sensitive documents
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Visio is required
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Certification/License: Lean/Six Sigma and/or Scrum/Agile is preferred

Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $93,000 - $104k annually + annual bonus
Target Compensation in Rocklin, CA 95765: $102,300 - $114,500 annually + annual bonus
Target Compensation in San Jose, CA 95134: $117k - $130k annually + annual bonus
