Senior Business Analyst - Job Role & Responsibilities

Job Summary

Our Finance Technology team (FinTech) is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the team! As a partner to the Finance and Accounting departments within the organization, this individual will help support our essential applications including Coupa for Business Spend Management, Concur for Expense and Travel, OnBase for Content Management and Peoplesoft Accounts Payable. Working with Accounting, Finance, and other areas of IT, this person will gain a deep understanding of Vail business processes. They will make recommendations and develop requirements for new projects based on a mastery of the essential applications. Using best practices, the person in this role will design and configure or work with development to create forward-thinking, scalable solutions. Efficiently troubleshooting issues, the candidate will propose solutions to achieve operational excellence. This individual will participate in application upgrades, designing new solutions, testing, and production support. They will regularly present solutions to our stakeholders and will need to manage projects with a great deal of autonomy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Primary owner of our Source to Pay applications (Coupa, Concur, PeopleSoft AP). Major contributor to the additional Finance applications (OnBase, Brainware, DocuSign PeopleSoft FSCM, etc.).
  • Lead the requirements gathering, solution design, test script creation, and ensure thorough SOX-compliant testing adheres to change management life cycle requirements.
  • Work on multiple projects, JIRA’s enhancements/defects, and PROD issues, autonomously and concurrently
  • Troubleshoot and continuously improve Coupa, PeopleSoft, etc. and the business processes that support Source to Pay
  • Troubleshoot and continuously improve our systems integrations (flat file, api) for efficiency improvements
  • Work cross-functionally and develop strong relationships with various areas of the business, developers, DBA’s, and other Business Analysts to deliver scalable, efficient solutions.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in supporting Coupa Business Spend Management or similar Source to Pay technology
  • Experience with an ERP system (SAP, PeopleSoft, Workday, Oracle Cloud) in one the area of Purchasing and Accounts Payable.
  • Experience with software implementations and upgrades
  • Proactive self-starter with excellent follow-through
  • Capable of juggling multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working autonomously or in a group
  • Ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly
  • Experience writing SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and/or reconciliation
  • Experience with Active Batch automation tools is a plus
  • Experience with OnBase, Concur, and DocuSign a plus

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $89,100 - $105,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
