Senior Business Analyst - Job Role & Responsibilities

Global Technology Services (GTS) provides IT infrastructure and application support services to the Aegon businesses. GTS is responsible for the provision, support and ongoing maintenance of IT operating platforms, applications, and services. There is also a strong connection with external providers necessitating vendor and service provider management. GTS is responsible for driving the technology strategy and providing IT infrastructure solutions that are in alignment with business objectives and the GTS technology strategy.

Job Description

The role of Sr Business Analyst is responsible for the measurement, analysis and reporting of productivity and metrics related to the service levels of our vendor partners. This role will handle report construction and projects with a high level of priority or difficulty. The Sr Business Analyst role will support and manage an outsourced key vendor relationship and work closely with the Partner Management Lead, Partner Relationship Manager, and the IT Service Leads.

Responsibilities

  • Profiles data; determines trends, patterns, inconsistencies; draws conclusions to provide recommendations to resolve data issues in key sales, marketing, and operations systems/databases.
  • Analyzes and pinpoints trouble spots in data and the processes that create and update data.
  • Maintains enterprise data dictionary for assigned systems/databases.
  • Implements data cleansing and data improvement initiatives
  • Develop insights and understanding of business performance based on data and statistical methods.
  • Communication and presentation of reports and in-depth analysis, including recommendations for optimizing campaigns, business processes and sales efficiencies.
  • Provide analytics and improvement recommendations related to vendor productivity, service metrics, process efficiencies and strategy forecasts.
  • Maintains data quality health dashboards for reporting data quality KPI’s to Senior Management.
  • Develops and manages the regular data quality audit process and exception reports required to identify and rectify data errors.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the business and systems within the supported service
  • Resolve technical issues, such as report/query malfunction and lapse in visualization stability/functionality
  • Filters and cleans data, and reviews reports and performance indicators to locate and correct data problems.
  • Provides data quality advisory services to the organization
  • Provides quality assurance oversight of data flows and stores
  • Assist team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of experience in data analytics, process improvement or other relevant work.
  • Advanced understanding of data tools for visualization, extraction, modeling, CRM solutions and SQL.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to perform high-level analysis and resolve technical issues.
  • Communication and presentation skills for delivery of reports and analysis.
  • Ability to multi-task and work as part of a team in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in reporting: (PowerBi, Tableau or ServiceNow reporting)
  • Experience of extrapolating and visualizing data to derive actionable intelligence
  • Experience with large scale operations working across or coordinating with multiple domains and business units
  • Excellent analytical skills and decision making
  • Strong demonstrated stakeholder management skills
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail.
  • Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with teammates, leadership, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and effectively and efficiently prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrable SLA experience
  • ServiceNow experience.
  • Experience in engaging with business and / or IT management to understand and document the business processes, data flows, controls, business needs

Compensation:

The salary for this position generally ranges between $78,000-$103,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.

Bonus Eligibility:

This position is also eligible for an Annual Bonus at a targeted percentage, based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance.
