Manager Business Analyst, Media Platforms - Job Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for you - dynamic, best-in-class talent, with a passion for all things media - to launch your career as a Business Analyst Manager, Media Platforms on our Operations team. Accountable, organized, and collaborative, the Business Analyst Manager, Media Platforms engages with business stakeholders and internal technology teams to capture business requirements; document current, interim and future workflows; create report and dashboard mockups and perform data mapping. This position requires attention to detail, an analytical mindset, and strong communication skills. Orion’s Operations team builds solutions that provide essential capabilities to business stakeholders. Team members are expected to leverage deep relationships with our business stakeholders and technology counterparts to design and build cohesive, end to end solutions for our business users. As a part of the Media Platforms team, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to define business requirements, solution and deliver solutions that add value to the business. You will lead grooming sessions and execute product demonstrations. In addition, you will interview and stakeholders to document current & future state workflows. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience gathering & documenting requirements from business stakeholders; writing user stories in GHERKIN format; producing professional workflows, report & UI prototypes & mockups; and analyzing ETL processes to map & transform data.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high quality report, User Interface and other wireframes/mockups for business stakeholder review
  • Identify opportunities to standardize report and UI designs
  • Participate in user story grooming sessions & sprint demos
  • Clear written and verbal communication of user story acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate across teams, including technology and architecture, to identify the best solution to meet functional and non-functional requirements
  • Potential to manage Business Analyst team member/s in future
Manager Business Analyst, Media Platforms - Job requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Product Management, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience in the technology, finance or media industries
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a role demonstrating strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a role where strong written and oral communication abilities
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience gathering stakeholder requirements; translating requirements into functional and non-functional specifications; writing user stories; working with development teams
  • Exposure to end-to-end product life cycle including requirements gathering, design, testing, delivery, and production handoff Junior project management experience

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Television/Broadcast, Media, Technology, or related field preferred
  • Experience with Agile methodologies preferred
  • Experience maintaining project schedules preferred Experience with using Jira or a similar system to track and maintain feature requirements and development progress preferred
