Business Analyst, Salesforce - Job Role & Responsibilities

MX is looking to add a Salesforce Business Analyst to the business applications team. You will work with Salesforce Administrators and Developers who have a passion for delivering high quality solutions to their stakeholders that increase efficiency and strengthen business processes. We are looking for someone who either has a background in Salesforce Administration or is interested in growing their career and learning to become an Administrator in the future.

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to articulate and document comprehensive solutions for stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Offer expert consultation to internal stakeholders to optimize application usability, streamline data collection processes, and enhance the systematization of business operations.
  • Translate overarching business objectives into detailed requirements, including user stories, to drive the development of new capabilities within Salesforce.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to learning and understanding current business processes, particularly their integration with Salesforce functionalities.
  • Lead bi-weekly project prioritization meetings, orchestrating discussions to align project initiatives with strategic goals.
  • Play a pivotal role in identifying, documenting, and resolving risks, defects, and issues within the Salesforce environment(s), leveraging expertise to ensure system integrity and performance.
  • Effectively communicate sprint progress updates to team members, customers, partners, and management, fostering transparency and accountability.
  • Uphold service level agreements (SLAs) for responsiveness, communication, and productivity, ensuring adherence to established benchmarks for operational excellence.
  • Participate in the execution of some of the team’s Salesforce Administration, playing a hybrid function between Business Analyst and Salesforce Administrator.
  • Actively participate in the Agile software development life cycle, contributing across various roles such as Business Technical Analyst, UI designer, Tester, as needed within Agile scrum teams.
Business Analyst, Salesforce - Job requirements

Basic Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Salesforce, with a preference for candidates with 2 or more years of experience on the Salesforce platform.
  • Prior experience in project management and/or as a Business Analyst, showcasing the ability to effectively drive projects to completion.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving aptitude, enabling the candidate to discern complex business challenges and devise effective solutions.
  • Proven capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently while collaborating seamlessly across departments to achieve organizational objectives.

Advanced Job Requirement (preferred But Not Required)

  • Salesforce Administrator or Business Analyst Certification would be advantageous, although not mandatory.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to adeptly manage stakeholder expectations and cultivate productive working relationships.
  • Enthusiasm for working with data, coupled with a meticulous attention to detail, allowing for the identification and resolution of data discrepancies and downstream dependencies.

Work Environment

Travel expectations for remote employees is about 15%, and the company covers travel expenses for remote employees. Local employees will utilize in-office time on a weekly basis Tuesday through Thursday. The expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $81,000-$97,000.
