Business Analyst, Sales Ops - Job Role & Responsibilities

We are actively seeking a Sales Ops Business Analyst for our Commercial Market Area that can design and construct processes to automate data retrieval, management, and analysis of business operations. In addition, the candidate must develop analytical tools to promote effective consumption of data and drive innovation on the team. The ideal candidate must be skilled in SQL and Excel with some exposure to business intelligence tools (i.e., Tableau, Power B.I.) to provide versatile tools that can creatively solve operational, broad-scale data visualization, interpretation, and distribution challenges.

If you have experience with statistical techniques (regression, distribution estimates, etc.) and the ability to interact with unique, seemingly disparate, datasets, we want to hear from you!

What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop detailed understanding of how core processes across the enterprise function with emphasis on managing, manipulating, and modeling large relational datasets and multiple data sources using a variety of data management tools and the responsibility for automating functions and tasks for self and other users

Act as primary analyst for projects and proactively identify topics for analysis and support the team’s overall data usage objectives. This will include:

  • Identifying and monitoring patterns and trends
  • Participating in peer review of work to ensure the quality of deliverables
  • Analyze, or assist in the analysis of processes and programs in achieving the stated goals of delivering actionable insights and recommending strategies to leaders
  • Provide analyses and recommendations if corrections are needed
  • Training team members on analytical tools and techniques and provide guidance and review the work of team members
  • Investigates and discovers areas of opportunity for the purpose of recommending new analytical processes; partner with team members in the direct org and beyond on the development of new analytical tools to enhance analytical capabilities.

What You Must Have

  • Related bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience preferably with statistics, economics, actuarial or similar
  • 4+ years related work experience to include using algorithms and inferential statistics
  • Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide, advanced Excel skills (specifically VBA) and a scripting language (i.e., Python, R)
  • Experience with analyzing and extracting large datasets
  • Some experience with Business Intelligence software (i.e., Tableau, Power BI)

General Physical Demands

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects

Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally

Must be able to occasionally travel to multiple locations for work (i.e., travel to attend meetings, events, conferences).
