Business Analyst, Product - Job Role & Responsibilities

As an FX Product Development Business Analyst, you will sit directly in Markets and be responsible for supporting our strategic InfoFX and emerging markets products. This includes leading InfoFX client onboards, supporting the implementation of new technology efforts, and providing day-to-day support internally to the Foreign Exchange trading desk and externally to our clients with respect to InfoFX and our Custody FX services.

This role partners directly with our New Business Development team as a subject matter expert on InfoFX and related matters during the sale process. Once a client is committed, the FX Product Development Business Analyst will assist with the onboarding of the client onto our products. This includes integration with the client’s systems, coordinating documentation with legal, and instructing our back office to open and setup accounts. Once the client is live, this analyst will remain involved in the relationship moving forward and will liaise with our FX desk to help participate in client meetings, provide day to day support and help manage their FX program.

The FX Product Development Business Analyst will also help lead and support our emerging markets InfoFX and Custody FX business. This includes researching and responding to emerging market FX related inquiries from our global client base and internal BBH teams. As well as participate in client or sales discussions and presentations as they pertain to our emerging market suite of FX products. The individual will help to support BBH FX’s relationships with our contacts in local markets (i.e. FX counterparties, subcustodians).

Since this role will be expected to partner across many internal teams, (Relationship Management, Trading, Sales, Technology, Documentation, Investment Operations, Service Delivery and Custody), as well as supporting clients directly, we are searching for a candidate with strong communication and an interest in building relationships. The ideal candidate will also have a strong interest for Foreign Exchange and Technology.

Key Responsibilities Include

Info FX Implementation, Onboarding:

  • Operate as the client’s FX subject matter expert during implementations.
  • Research and analyze the impact of market changes to BBH clients.
  • Assist in the identification of process improvements to lower costs and improve efficiencies.
  • Leverage expertise from other BBH lines of business
  • Document procedures, opportunities, best practices, project goals and workflows.

Client Service/Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships at all levels, both within and outside the organization
  • Assess and provide solutions for clients, acting as a key point of contact for enhancement requests and escalated onboarding and production issues.
  • Participate in relationship meetings to communicate InfoFX product strategy to clients.

Emerging Markets

  • Research and respond to emerging market FX related inquiries from global client base and internal BBH teams.
  • Participate in client sales discussions and presentations as they pertain to our emerging market suite of FX products.
  • Utilize information from BBH FX relationship managers and FX clients to understand emerging market trading needs and changes in local market practices.
  • Design, create, and maintain detailed FX trading guides, including client case studies that highlight innovative and thoughtful trading solutions in restricted markets
  • Continually expand understanding of our industry concepts and market practices through responses to client queries, participation in departmental projects, and regular interaction with Operations, Treasury, Network and Trading functions.
  • Work with local market providers to support BBH FX’s operations in local markets.
Business Analyst, Product - Job requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience working in the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of BBH products, services and practices is a plus
  • General knowledge of the SWIFT platform and messaging is a plus
  • Strong business analysis skills, including business requirements, product proposals and business and technical workflows
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of international currency markets, including the impact of economic and political factors, a plus
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange trading instruments, a plus
  • Strong project management, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational, consultative, and advisory skills
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in the industry
  • Ability to analyze and summarize complex business issues
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, while meeting deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentations.

Salary Range

$110K - $125K

BBH’s compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations.
