Business Analyst, Operations - Job Role & Responsibilities

Position Summary:

  • Conducts business analysis, collects business requirements, and translates them into business intelligence solutions leveraging best practices, and helps customers build data acumen.
  • Gathers, cleans, and analyzes business data, across domain specific subjects and specialized topics, to determine patterns that demonstrate improvement in business practices.
  • Designs and implements data models to organize and structure data for reporting and analysis, and creates appealing data visualizations, interactive dashboards to communicate findings.
  • Builds compelling data stories, translates data into insights, provides recommendations and options, and measures business impact of decisions made.
  • Utilizes advanced techniques to extract actionable insights from data including predictive modeling to forecast future trends, identify potential risks, or optimize business processes.
  • Monitors the performance of insurance products, sales channels, and operational processes, identifies improvement areas and makes improvement recommendations.
  • Develops and maintains reports and dashboards that provide key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to management and other stakeholders.
  • Evaluates BI tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve data analysis and reporting capabilities, assists in the selection, implementation, and maintenance of BI software solutions.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to build analytics and business intelligence requirements, develops, tests, and deploys business intelligence scripts and performs analytics.
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams to gather data, understand business processes, and support decision-making.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs, translating business requirements into technical specifications for data analysis and reporting solutions.
  • Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in Data analysis is preferred.
Business Analyst, Operations - Job requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Information Technology is preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Preferred: Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), Certified Information Professional (CIP), Power BI Data Analyst Associate Certification (PL-300), Tableau Certified Data Analyst

The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
