About LOTTE BIOLOGICS

LOTTE BIOLOGICS was established in 2022, and is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. LOTTE BIOLOGICS entered the pharmaceutical industry as a CDMO company with the acquisition of Bristol Myers Squibb’s Syracuse biologics manufacturing site.

The Syracuse site offers drug substance manufacturing services with a total of 35,000L of production bioreactor capacity (7 x 5kL bioreactors) utilizing stainless steel bioreactors, analytical QC testing laboratories, and warehouse facilities. The site is fully GMP operational with clinical and commercial capabilities. As of today, the site has received 60+ approvals worldwide from the FDA, EMA, PMDA, and MFDS.

By 2030, LOTTE BIOLOGICS plans to build 3 mega plants in South Korea. Each plant will have 8 stainless steel bioreactors with 15,000L capacities for large-scale commercial operations, alongside multiple 2,000L single-use bioreactors to accommodate the clinical needs. Altogether, the plants will have a total manufacturing volume of 360,000L or more in bioreactor capacity.

Business Analyst, Manufacturing Ops - Job Role & Responsibilities

To help us meet our mission LOTTE Biologics is in need of an experienced IT Business Analyst which will mainly focus on the maintenance and life cycle management of the Syracuse site’s information technology systems such as SAP, ServiceNow, UKG, and Enterprise Health, among others. The role will also be responsible for performing cost/benefit analysis of the site’s current and prospective applications, recommending new or upgrading the current software applications as well as participate in implementation planning for those software system. As an IT Business Analyst, the individual will facilitate finding the right technology solutions to address the company's needs. The IT Business Analyst must be able to communicate efficiently, have strong problem-solving skills and be able to manage projects delivering with approved budget and timelines.

  • Provide technical support across the company (either in person or over the phone/e-mail)
  • Perform on-site or remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and related queries in a timely manner
  • Serve as the primary administrator for multiple enterprise and site applications
  • Lead and/or perform application installs, upgrades, and configurations
  • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Create and maintain documentation for application administration procedures
  • Coordinate with other teams to ensure application availability and meet SLAs
  • Generate reports and dashboards for application data
  • Provide Tier 3 support for application issues
  • Stay up-to-date on application updates and industry trends
  • Oversee the implementation of IT software solutions
  • Partner with key leaders across the business to understand technology needs and work to deliver solutions that help advance the business
  • Provide information to stakeholders creating forecasts and budgets
  • Identify risks in current and proposed IT systems
  • Recommend software and hardware
  • Contribute to knowledge management as an author or reviewer as necessary
  • Work independently on assignments where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making choices, recommendations, or decisions
  • Provide off-hours support on a rotating basis as needed
  • Provide ownership and accountability for Asset Life Cycle Management
Business Analyst, Manufacturing Ops - Job requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Good understanding of Windows OS and OS related technical issues
  • Experience with web servers (Apache, IIS, Nginx, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)
  • Certification in relevant technology (MCSE, CCNA, RHCE, etc.)
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in the biopharma industry is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Working knowledge of multiple operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
  • Proficient in at least one scripting language (PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, firm understanding of how to properly troubleshoot problems
  • Works on routine assignments that require basic problem resolution and escalation
  • Ability to transform business requirements into technical solutions
  • Is self-motivated, and ability to multi-task in enterprise environment
  • Highly motivated and results-driven individual capable of operating independently within standard operating procedures / methods, with moderate supervision
  • Team player with an emphasis on both knowledge sharing and learning
  • Ability to pay attention to detail, strong in data analysis and the ability to effectively analyze information and form a judgment
