Business Analyst, Insights and Scale - Job Role & Responsibilities

The Insights and Scale Business Analyst is a critical member of the Cloud Go-to-Market Operations team, reporting to the North America Head of Business Partner Insights and Scale, and part of the Business Performance function. In this role, you will work in a team focused on driving the business forward with actionable proactive insights and by scaling best practices and processes.

As an Insights and Scale Business Partner, you will generate reports and analysis, providing recommendations that support decision making and help define, land, and execute on our strategic priorities. In addition, you will work on increasing efficiency by owning, improving, and simplifying sales processes across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Support Sub Regional Google Cloud leadership on regular and recurring business performance reviews (e.g., Forecast, Quarterly Business Conversations) and drive insights within the sub region that influence strategic plans and execution.
  • Identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement. Partner with Google Cloud business teams to define and solve problems that impact the sales organization.
  • Perform data analysis and modeling to identify trends and opportunities by understanding business performance and present concise recommendations.
  • Support Sub Regional Planning and Quota cascade to enable the Sales Leadership Team to deploy targets to the next level.
  • Share and implement best practices across North America.
Business Analyst, Insights and Scale - Job requirements

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience with sales analytics, financial analytics, or sales operations
  • Experience in manipulating data sets using SQL or another programming/scripting language

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Management Information Systems degree
  • Experience in tools or building analyses and data visualizations in Tableau, SQL, or similar operating systems
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced or unstructured environment
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, bringing clarity and structure with limited direction, while balancing competing priorities and deliverables
  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills, including the ability to work with senior-level stakeholders or clients
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to construct, articulate, and defend simple and impactful messages/insights from complex analysis
What we offer at Google

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $111,000-$163,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
