Business Analyst, Enterprise - Job Role & Responsibilities

The position is based out of the corporate headquarters in Carson, CA, with applicable hybrid on site back to work guidelines.

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Business Analyst in our IT Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business operations, processes, and systems to identify areas for improvement, develop strategies, and facilitate effective decision-making. The person will work closely with stakeholders from various departments to gather requirements, define objectives, and recommend solutions that align with business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, understanding their needs, goals, and challenges.
  • Analysis: Analyze existing processes, systems, and data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to make informed recommendations.
  • Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive documentation of business requirements, user stories, use cases, and process flows for communication between business and technical teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and understanding of requirements.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with proposed solutions and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Testing and Validation: Collaborate with testing teams to ensure that developed solutions meet the specified requirements and perform user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate functionality.
  • Change Management: Assist in managing organizational change by preparing stakeholders for transitions resulting from process improvements or system implementations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor implemented solutions, gather feedback, and analyze performance to suggest further enhancements or adjustments.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis tools to extract insights and trends from business data, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Incidents and Request: Provide assistance as first level IT support in resolving user issues, as well as direct support to user community.
Business Analyst, Enterprise - Job requirements

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, process modeling, and project management.
  • Demonstrated ability in IT analysis methodologies (i.e., process flow definition, data flow diagramming, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to create plans and timelines using Project management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, customers and other IT personnel.
  • Proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies for project implementation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, business administration, or a related field.
  • Business analyst (BSA) experience in development and deployment activities of ERP, SAAS, and Web Applications.
  • Proven experience writing specifications such as User Stories, use cases, Functional Design specifications, process flows, Table Design, and mapping and designing solutions.
  • Experience with a fast-moving consumer goods industry is a plus.

The expected base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $115,000. The exact salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, and budget.

This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
