Business Analyst, End User Services - Job Role & Responsibilities

This End User Services (EUS) Business Analyst and Researcher will report directly to the Head Organizational OCM, Johnson and Johnson Technology Services (JJT), located in Raritan, New Jersey or another J&J location. This role will focus on introducing Data Lifecycle management principles across the EUS Service Owners, from Service Creation through communication and training for business users, with the goal to change the “keep everything” data retention approach to one of appropriate data disposition.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this individual will be to build a repeatable framework to govern the introduction of new EUS Service Offerings as well as feature and capability changes to existing services. This person will work with all platform leaders, as well as other JJT Governance Organizations (ISRM, Legal eDiscovery, and Privacy) and must have the skills demonstrating a detailed understanding of the various technologies in the EUS portfolio, have shown collaboration skills and work in a dynamic environment. Knowing and understanding the portfolio of technologies to keep up with end user expectations is a must.

You will serve as an Analyst supporting the Service Owners of M365 Applications including SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, Office Apps, Yammer/Viva, Forms, Planner, and Stream, as well as non-Microsoft solutions such as Mural, Box, and Zoom. We are looking for a person that can also grow their skills and contribute to the programs inside End User. Any opportunities to reduce repetitive actions and build solutions that will drive benefit to the management of our services and the End Users helps.

We are looking for a candidate that will work with your peers and the team to support the creation of our overall data governance strategy for the use of the tools in the Office 365 ecosystem and beyond. Additionally, you are confident in your capacity to collaborate with leaders in your organization and program partners to provide insight to complex issues in your space. It is a key component of this position to see a problem through to resolution, generate an action plan and implement an improvement plan. Your skills will be used to build reports to investigate trends in problem areas including orphaned data and platform classification violations. Effectively institute active listening to understand other perspectives and experiences to drive a generation of new solutions to fix real world problems in the business.

You will also be required to learn Kanban and Agile related strategies and methodologies to handle your work efforts. Your ability to clearly define and follow the DevOps flow of tasks and strategies will enable us to increase our delivery in clearly defined sprint cycles and velocity metrics. Your close connection to Kanban will also enable us to align across the multiple teams through backlog creations and planning, thus gaining focus on roadmap creations and maintenance requirements. This among other work-related duties and responsibilities, as required by management may be required.

Business Analyst, End User Services - Job requirements

Experience and Skills:

  • Previous experience in Information Technology.
  • Strong Technology study and the ability to articulate the relationship between multiple technologies.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 applications and services and how they function, the data they generate, and lifecycle management strategies.
  • Experience in generating digital online surveys using MS Forms and conducing partner interviews to identify and detail End User Service needs and existing process gaps.
  • Some level of experience with End User solutions and a confirmed comprehension of the services this area provides.
  • Good communication, influencing, and presentation skills are required.
  • Demonstration of time management and prioritization in a fast paced environment.

Anticipated Salary Range: $61,000-$85,000

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
