Business Analyst - Job Role & Responsibilities

We are actively seeking a Business Analyst to join our Medical Review Team! The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting project work including the analysis of data, workflow and process documentation, creation of capacity planning models, and interfacing with cross-functional project managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze/document workflows, make recommendations for enhancements and support the
  • implementation and measurement of new processes.
  • Develop business requirements for key projects and collaborate with cross functional partners on assessment and implementation of projects.
  • Collect and analyze data to validate and support informed business decisions.
  • Maintain data and statistics for URAC reporting in collaboration with Management and Quality Auditor.
  • Build productivity and capacity planning models to inform staffing and facilitate the development of performance scorecards for all associates.
  • Produce data for presentations for a variety of internal and external audiences and levels.
  • Creation of leadership dashboards for operations and a variety of programs.
  • Assists business leaders in developing tactical and strategic programs to support business unit’s goals.
  • Prepare routine reporting, analyze, trend, and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Support cross GHM initiatives in collaboration with other Business Analysts within the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Business Analyst - Job requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree minimum, MBA, or Project Management Certification preferred.
  • 2-3 years of international insurance experience.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a Business Analyst capacity.
  • Data, cost benefit and trend analysis experience.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues of all levels, within and across departments.
  • Extremely detail oriented.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office, especially Word and Excel, and Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Employee is required to have at minimum an internet speed of 75 Mbps (standard high-speed internet access).

Working Conditions:

  • Flexibility to work in an office and/or at-home, remote office environment.
  • Schedule flexibility is occasionally necessary in this position. Individual may be required to attend key business/departmental meetings and/or perform certain business critical job functions outside of normal working hours.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to communicate internally and externally through receiving and responding to auditory and visual methods.

The starting pay for this role is $57,411 to $73,199 based on skill level and experience in a similar role.
