Job Description & Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst you will assist with the design, analysis, testing, and deployment of new data-driven, web-based applications. Ideal candidates will have a solution-focused mindset and the ability to collaborate as a team with technical and product leaders while also contributing independently. Candidates must be passionate about technology, demonstrate strong reasoning and research facilities, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
The candidate will assist in delivery of transformative outcome-based technology enabled solutions with a focus on people, process, and technology. In this role, the Business Analyst (BA) will support all phases of solution development; engagement with stakeholders to gather requirements, documenting problem statements, articulating user stories, collaborating with multifunctional teams, and facilitating user acceptance testing. Our practitioners help clients streamline operations, automate tasks, reduce ambiguity, and improve processes in their finance, accounting, risk, and operations functions.
- Learning and facilitating use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement process change, new products, or new services
- Gathering and analyzing client requirements, analyzing business processes, and assisting stakeholder interviews through storyboarding, workshops, or persona journey maps
- Assist in product backlog management by developing epics, features, and user stories and engaging with development stakeholders to drive progress
- Collaborate with design stakeholders to design or provide feedback on UI/UX artifacts
- Collaborating with multi-functional stakeholders to gather input, solicit feedback, and implement user stories and requirements to fulfill business requirements
- Preparing and presenting written and verbal materials such as reports, findings, proposals, and systems training, and assisting sales efforts through engagement with clients and prospective clients
- The desired candidate is passionate about technology and comfortable solving and reframing business problems using a design and consulting mindset.
The candidate will be detail oriented, possess strong listening, verbal/written communication skills, and able to collaborate well with others.

Requirements
Technical Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of full-time work experience
- Capturing and rationalizing requirements from stakeholders
- Experience in evaluating business processes, problem domains, and identifying improvement areas to inform requirements
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to clients and other stakeholders
- Experience in project management and change management projects
- Experience using Agile tools such Azure DevOps, JIRA, or ServiceNow
- Performing manual testing
- Knowledge and interest of modern IT architecture and deployment (e.g., REST, databases, APIs, containers, workflows)
- While primarily remote, the position may require travel up to 10% as determined by project specific needs
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Limited sponsorship available
Preferred
- Experience with stakeholder management
- Experience with Quality Assurance activities such as defect reporting, defect management, and assisting in monthly or quarterly product change control boards
- SAFe certification
- Experience with reporting solutions like Tableau would be a plus
- Foundational knowledge of relational databases and experience writing basic queries in SQL
- Knowledge of AWS Cloud platform
- Financial services or Life Sciences & Healthcare industry experience
What we offer
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $73,000 to $115,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
