Business Analyst, Commercial - Job Role & Responsibilities

The Opportunity

  • As a part of the New Business team, the Sr Analyst – Business Development is responsible for identifying and analyzing growth and profit opportunities. The position may include completing due diligence / financial analysis on new wholesale and loan acquisitions. The role may require dealer interface / service; monitoring of Dealer portfolios; concentrating on areas of growth, risk and loss prevention; critical analysis of financial statements and frequent contact with dealership personnel, matrix partners and outside stakeholders. Position may include the structuring of new business proposals to achieve conquest growth targets

The Work Itself

  • Identify growth opportunities within portfolio.
  • Seek opportunities to drive additional efficiencies and effectiveness into the commercial lending processes.
  • Manage and grow new business opportunities.
  • Assist with the structuring of new business proposals.
  • Understand wholesale and loan programs.
  • Demonstrate a very strong ability to assess complicated new business proposals, structure commercial proposals to meet the needs of dealers and Ally.
  • Champion the new business transactions through the closing process.
  • Develop renewal strategies for dealers with maturing dealer loans.
  • Collect and analyze competitive information; understand how to compete in the commercial space.

The Skills You Bring

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred.
  • 5 + years in customer service or financial services industry is needed.
  • Ability to provide advice/direction in primary areas of expertise Leveraging technical expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business results Contribute to and manage projects Proficient in intermediate MS applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook)
