Business Analyst, Clients - Job Role & Responsibilities

Allison is seeking a Client Business Analyst responsible for working collaboratively across client and financial teams to ensure accurate delivery of all marketing initiatives and projects. This role will include financial management and reporting, collecting/analyzing data and forecasts for financial analysis, maintaining documentation for tracking to help improve processes for client teams. These teams handle unique programs for our clients including paid media plans, social media, influencer activations, video and photo shoots. We have various project contracts that need distinct financial tracking to ensure we stay on budget and successfully bill our clients to our accounting standards.

The Client Business Analyst will be asked to work proactively and independently while using a variety of project management styles and tools including Excel. We are seeking a highly organized professional that enjoys working with numbers, data analysis, and process development. This role will be an integral part of the team and will require a unique blend of Microsoft 365 expertise, excellent communication skills, project management and financial experience.

Responsibilities

  • Track the health of the department’s revenue; forecast revenue and track against financial goals
  • Partner with client team leads to manage project budgets - billable hours and out of pocket expenses
  • Coordinate with finance team to help manage and modify allocated budgets and to identify improvements to revenue recognition and management of hard costs
  • Support client teams in completing needed financial documents such as contracts and internal accounting documents
  • Become an expert in time tracking system – Maconomy
  • Provide recommendations to support the operational teams in making optimum use of available resources to achieve targets and generate ad-hoc reports based on stakeholder requests
  • Conduct post project analysis to understand where efficiencies can be gained
  • Quickly respond to ad hoc reporting requests from department leadership and finance teams
  • Develop financial processes that allow the marketing team to operate efficiently and effectively to achieve our teams’ strategic goals
  • Help streamline the business by creating new processes to manage vendor contracts, make improvements to current project trackers and efficiently administer contractors and influencer payments.

Qualifications

  • A Client Business Analyst at Allison typically has a minimum of 5+ years of experience
  • Strong competency with Excel
  • Knowledge of integrated marketing to improve the agency’s forecasting process
  • Experience in project management and financial data analysis with the ability to synthesize data and present metrics in a way that the management team can use to help drive decisions and/or key process improvements
  • Desire to understand the business, offerings and work with leadership to improve operations
  • Self-starter that continually seeks to improve processes
  • Strong cross-team collaboration skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
