Position Summary

Constellation HomeBuilder Systems offers a dynamic and empowering environment filled with motivated self-starters who thrive on the excitement of fast-paced work. We are currently looking for an IT professional with extensive accounting experience to join our team. This individual will play a key role in applying industry-specific knowledge to enhance our evolving NEWSTAR software. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Identify customer use-cases and efficiently translate them into business benefits and NEWSTAR software requirements that are accurate, thorough, logical, and easy to follow by Professional Services, Customer Care, Programmers, and QA.
  • Lead the customer through escalated investigations, to distinguish the underlying business needs from what a specific user asked for.
  • Is engaging in video communications, where customers and colleagues feel they’ve been heard and are being led by a homebuilding industry expert.
  • Process large volumes of NEWSTAR requests in a timely manner, without losing quality.
  • Work with Quality Assurance to ensure enough coverage of test cases, author test executions as required, and coordinate with Program Managers to ensure appropriate amount of work is delivered into the QA pipeline.
  • Support the creation of public release notes for clarity, accuracy, and polish.
  • Demonstrate deep caring about user experiences. This includes proactive continuous learning of what customers are trying to achieve, and discerning how to best affect our products given the combined needs of software stability, customer needs, efficient support, and keeping the product relevant amidst an evolving industry.
Business Analyst - Job requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must possess a level of knowledge in Accounting practices and requirements. You must be self-sufficiently conversant with customer Accountants.
  • Expert-level English written and presentation communication skills with polished customer-friendly language.
  • Education in accounting would be a huge asset
  • University Bachelor’s degree or greater is an asset
  • CBAP designation and knowledge of the BABOK Guide is an asset.
  • Contagious passion for software and their related business processes.
  • Ability to organize thoughts, setup data, and pull together formal presentations to showcase new deliveries.
  • Understanding of software implementation strategies, IT business controls, and software delivery artifacts such as wireframes, proof of concepts, high level workflows, etc.
  • Careful attention to detail, with diligence in transparent record-keeping within the books of record.

Salary Range (US Only):

The estimated base salary range for this role in the United States is $77,600.00 - $116,400.00 per year. For compliance with local legislation, and to provide greater transparency to applicants, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of the desired hiring location or whether the position is remote. The posted range is an estimate and reflects many factors which are subject to change. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, based upon geographic location, candidate experience and expertise, and other relevant factors.

Other Compensation (US Only):

This role will also be eligible for participation in a Company profit sharing bonus plan. Plan details will be provided to you upon hire.

Benefits (US Only):

Full time employees will also be eligible for enrollment in a wide range of choices of benefits , including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, short/long term disability, 401(k) participation (with company match).

Time off (US Only):

The Company provides a minimum of 10 days of vacation for new employees , sick time based on state requirements, 8 Company-paid holidays and 2 personal holidays per year.
