Business Analyst - Job Role & Responsibilities

Acuity is seeking motivated motivated external applicants with extensive project management experience who also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The Senior Business Analyst will partner with various internal and external customers to identify, evaluate, and develop systems, procedures and practices, which are streamlined and meet the business needs of the company. The person in this role will serve as a knowledge resource and help influence innovation and continuous improvement endeavors while also mentoring and coaching analysts with less experience, including giving meaningful, professional feedback.

The person in this position may be able to work remotely.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Effectively and openly communicates with customers at all levels, including employees, agents, vendors, and stakeholders - welcomes their input and feedback to shape the overall customer experience
  • Facilitate or lead projects with focus on specific strategic/operational goals, including delegating tasks, assessing resource requirements, and providing overviews to leadership
  • Foster the professional development of others, formally and informally, through mentoring; organize and present ongoing training opportunities that elevate the team
  • Analyze data and requirements to develop technical or workflow/process solutions, draft or update specifications, and provide user-acceptance testing and production support
  • Follow industry and technology trends to support Acuity’s dynamic and ongoing strategies
  • Ability to explain issues and resolutions to technical and non-technical staff
  • Assure appropriate documentation to communicate business needs
  • Coordinate and conduct training as needed
  • Provide thoughtful peer-to-peer feedback that improves the team and facilitates positive change; at times, may directly mentor
  • Periodic travel may be required for industry or technology conferences, and training/professional development
  • Participate in professional development activities
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Business Analyst - Job requirements

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree or extensive direct experience

EXPERIENCE:

  • Several years’ experience as a business analyst, or related project-oriented experience
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of project management practices and philosophies
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills, with a strong desire to understand Business Consulting’s role in the company’s operational and strategic plans

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
